Money visibility by role
Who sees amounts in reports and who doesn't. Members are money-blind; the Revenue and Uninvoiced tabs are manage-tier only.
Reports are role-aware. Owners, Admins, and Managers see the full financial picture; Members see hours and project activity but never amounts. This page is the quick reference for who sees what.

The Reports area requires the reports entitlement (Studio and up). Within it, money visibility follows your role.
The rule
Members never see amounts or rates anywhere in Hoursmith — including reports. The two money-centric tabs, Revenue and Uninvoiced, are Owner / Admin / Manager only.
What each role sees in Reports
| Report / element | Owner | Admin | Manager | Member |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Time tab | Full, all members | Full, all members | Full, all members | Own entries only, no amounts |
| Time Est. billable tile & Amount column | Yes | Yes | Yes | Hidden |
| Revenue tab | Yes | Yes | Yes | "Revenue is restricted." |
| Projects tab | Full, with money | Full, with money | Full, with money | Visible, money columns hidden |
| Uninvoiced tab | Yes | Yes | Yes | Hidden |
| CSV export (Time) | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
Beyond reports
Money-blindness isn't limited to Reports. Members never see rates or amounts anywhere, and notifications and snippets never carry money either. For the full picture of how this works across the app, see Money-blindness.
This keeps Hoursmith safe to use with contractors: invite someone as a Member and they can track time without ever seeing what you bill.
Export the time report
Export the Time report to CSV or PDF, from the Reports Time tab (and CSV from the timesheet), for non-Member roles on Studio and up.
