Project profitability report
The Projects tab in Reports. See how projects are performing — Members can view it, but money columns stay hidden for them.
The Projects tab in Reports shows how your projects are performing. It's the one money-flavored report Members can open — but for them the money columns are hidden.
- Plan
- StudioAgency
The Projects tab is visible to all roles with Reports access, including Members, but money columns are hidden for Members. Member-utilization figures require the advancedReporting entitlement, which is Agency only. The Reports area itself needs the reports entitlement (Studio and up).
For private compensation costs and work-versus-cash comparisons, use Team profitability in Payouts (Agency, Owner/Admin only). It does not change access to the Projects report described here.
Where to find it
Go to Reports and open the Projects tab (/reports).
What it shows
The Projects tab summarizes per-project performance. The manage tier (Owner, Admin, Manager) sees the full picture including money; Members see the same report with money columns hidden.
Member-utilization figures — how members' time breaks down across projects — require the advancedReporting entitlement, available on Agency.
There's no CSV export for the Projects report. CSV export is available for the Time report only. See CSV export.
Tips
- For a per-project deep dive — budgets, rates, and margins on the project itself — see Project profitability in the Projects section.
Troubleshooting
- I can't see money columns. Members never see amounts. Use a manage-tier account, or read Money visibility by role.
- Utilization figures are missing. Member-utilization needs advancedReporting, which is on the Agency plan. See Plans & limits.
