Notification preferences
Choose which Hoursmith events also reach you by email or Telegram — in-app notifications are always on.
Account → Notifications (/account/notifications) controls which events also reach you outside
the app.
In-app notifications are always on. These choices control which events also reach you by email or Telegram. They're personal to you and saved automatically as you toggle them.
Email toggles
Toggles are grouped. The defaults are noted below.
Mentions & tasks
- @mention — on by default
- Task assigned to me — on by default
- Comments on a task I follow — off by default
Invoices & payments
- A client paid an invoice
- An invoice is overdue
- A client viewed an invoice — off by default
Team & account
- An invite is accepted
- Trial & billing reminders
Digest
- Weekly summary — choose Off or a weekday to receive it.
Telegram
The same page is where you connect Telegram to receive pings for mentions, task assignments, comments on tasks you follow, and client payments. Telegram requires Studio or Agency. See Telegram notifications.
Troubleshooting
- I'm getting too many emails. Turn off the toggles you don't need — changes save automatically.
- I'm missing an email I expected. Check the matching toggle is on, then look at your inbox's spam. For delivery problems see I didn't receive an email.
