Comments and mentions
Discuss a task with rich-text comments, @-mention teammates to notify them, and attach files — with clear rules on editing and deleting.
Every task has a comment thread for updates and discussion. Comments support rich text, @-mentions, and attachments.

Anyone can view and post comments. Authors can edit and delete their own comments; Owners and Admins can delete any comment.
Where to find it
Open a task and find the comment thread. The composer's placeholder reads "Write an update… use @ to mention a teammate."
Write a comment
Compose
Type in the composer. It's a rich-text editor — you can use bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, headings, lists, quote, inline code, code blocks, and links.
Mention a teammate
Type @ and pick a teammate to mention them. Mentions notify them in-app and by email.
Attach files
Add files or images by paste, drag-and-drop, or the 📎 attach button. See Attachments for supported types and limits.
Post
Click Comment, or press Cmd/Ctrl+Enter to post.
Editing and deleting
- Authors can edit and delete their own comments.
- Owners and Admins can delete any comment.
- An edited comment shows an "edited" marker.
@-mentions are the reliable way to get someone's attention — they trigger an in-app notification and an email.
