Workspace settings (General)

Set your brand, business details, and invoice defaults on one page — the values that appear on every invoice and the public invoice page.

Settings → General (/settings/general) is the home for everything about your business: your brand, your legal and contact details, and the defaults that prefill every new invoice. A few minutes here means every invoice looks right from the first send.

Before you start
Role
OwnerAdmin

Workspace settings are managed by Owner and Admin. Find them under Settings → General.

What's on this page

The General page has three cards:

  • Brand — your logo and Organization name. See Branding & logo.
  • Business details — the "From" block on every invoice.
  • Invoice defaults — the prefilled values for new invoices. See Invoice defaults.

Fill in your business details

Open Settings → General

In the sidebar, go to Settings, then General.

Add your brand

In the Brand card, upload your logo and set your Organization name. The logo appears on invoices, the public invoice page, and the client portal.

Enter your business details

In Business details, fill in your legal / billing name, tax label (e.g. VAT, GST, or Sales tax) and tax ID, public contact email, phone, website, and your business address lines. This is the "From" block your clients see on every invoice.

Save

Click Save workspace settings.

Invoice defaults live here too

The same page holds your Invoice defaults — currency, default tax rate, invoice number prefix, payment terms, and the notes and footer that appear on every invoice. Editing these never changes existing invoices; they apply only to new ones. The full breakdown is in Invoice defaults.

Want invoices to send from your own email address? That's a separate page — Email settings (requires Studio or Agency).

Troubleshooting

  • The Save button does nothing / fields are greyed out. Workspace settings need Owner or Admin. If you're a Manager or Member, ask an admin to make the change.
  • My logo looks wrong on invoices. Re-upload it from the Brand card — see Branding & logo.
