Preferences
Set your personal app language, theme, regional format, date and time format, and interface density — choices that follow you across every workspace.
Preferences are personal display settings at Account → Preferences (/account/preferences).
They follow you across every workspace you belong to.
These are account settings — they affect only your view of Hoursmith, not your teammates'.
What you can set
- App language — the language Hoursmith's own buttons, menus, and labels appear in: English, Spanish, French, or German.
- Regional format — the locale used for dates, times, and number formatting, set independently of the app language.
- Theme — light, dark, or follow your system.
- Date / time format — how dates and times display for you.
- Density — how compact or spacious the interface is.
App language
Hoursmith is available in English, Spanish, French, and German. Your choice is personal — it follows you across every workspace and never changes what your teammates see.
App language and regional format are separate. You can read the app in one language while keeping your own date and number formatting — for example, the interface in French with US-style dates.
Your own content is never translated: invoice notes, client and project names, payment instructions, and email templates always appear exactly as you wrote them. Only Hoursmith's own labels change with your language.
