A member can't see invoices

This is by design — Members are money-blind and have no access to invoices, amounts, rates, expenses, or clients. Give them Manager+ if they need it.

If someone with the Member role can't find invoices, that's expected behaviour, not a bug. Members are intentionally kept away from financial data.

Most likely cause

Members are money-blind. By design they have no access to invoices, amounts, rates, expenses, or clients. Hiding the money is the whole point of the role — so there's nothing broken to fix.

How to check

  • Confirm their role. If the person is a Member, the absence of invoices is expected.
  • Decide what they actually need. If their job genuinely requires seeing invoices or client financials, they need a higher role.

How to fix

Leave it as-is if money should stay hidden

If the person shouldn't see financials, no change is needed — money-blindness is working correctly.

Promote to Manager or above for access

If they do need invoices, amounts, or client data, give them a Manager Manager (or higher) role. Manager and above can see this information.

Money-blindness is a permission boundary, not a setting you can toggle per Member — access comes with the role. Change the role to change what they can see.
